William Joseph Ford (Will)
August 8, 2006

Will was diagnosed with “Optic Nerve Hypoplasia” in December of 2006. This is an uncommon defect in which the Optic Nerves fail to develop normally during pregnancy. Will is now 16 months old and his vision is LPO (Light Perception only, legally blind). After researching, we have come across the miracle of a lifetime and we need everyone’s help.

We will be traveling to China April 18 - May 20, 2008 for four Umbilical Cord Stem Cell injections. Why China??  Everyone asks the same question.  This is our only hope and it is something that currently isn’t being offered in the US, although our country is very close they haven’t yet approved these types of procedures.  This has become an amazing and very successful procedure for many other diseases and diagnoses that have no cure or answer. We will need to raise $75,000 to get Will to China. The doctors at Hangzhou Hospital in Hangzhou City believe that this is what will bring vision to Will’s life.

Will is following several other children to China that have the same diagnosis. These children have had miraculous results- we hope to as well! Please donate the change in your pocket or the dollar in your wallet to help our baby Will have the gift of sight.
